Video: Tennis Stringing Experiment: 1 Piece vs. 2 Piece
By David Henry on Aug 20, 2010 with Comments 2
Check out this video I created to show the results of a stringing experiment I conducted to determine if there is a differrence in Dynamic Tension (DT) between a one piece stringjob and a two piece stringjob. Interesting.
Thanks for checking in.

Fascinating. This proves what many people have been saying, despite a somewhat common beleif that a one-piece ATW pattern keeps tension better.
Hey Mig1NC – thanks for the comment. Yep – I thought this little experiment was pretty interesting. I am probably going to conduct another one fairly soon using a different racquet and string. I’ll string up one of my Prince Original Graphites (POG) with Topspin CyberFlash using a one piece traditonal pattern and then I’ll measure the Dynamic Tension (DT). Then, I’ll cut ’em out, re-string it using Topspin CyberFlash using a two piece pattern, measure DT, and compare. I’ll post another video to share the results.
One thing to keep in mind… I don’t know which one holds tension better over time. I only measured the DT immediately after stringing. Perhaps a one piece pattern holds tension better. I don’t know.
Take care.
