    Hi,

What software do you use to create labels and print-outs you include with racket.
Do you use the same software to record customer string data?

Hi Tom. Thanks for visiting my blog.

I don’t use any special software to create labels and print-outs for my clients’ racquets. I just use good ole Microsoft Excel. In fact, I don’t use labels per se. I just print out the Racquet Specifications Sheet on normal paper, wrap it around the handle, and secure it with a rubber band. Then, I print out the invoice, fold it in half, and throw it in the polybag.

As far as recording client stringing data, again I just use Excel – I have every Racquet Specification Sheet saved, so I can refer to them for historical data. I started to build a custom database using Microsoft Access but simply haven’t gotten around to finishing it. I know there are better methods than Excel, but for now, it gets the job done for me.

While I’ve never used it, I’ve heard good things about http://www.stringjob.com. I believe it is a free service. If you haven’t yet, check it out when you have a chance. If you end up using it, please let me know your thoughts. Perhaps I’ll switch to it in the future.

    Take care.

    Hi David,

    Thanks for the response.
I might try and set up a excel sheet but the version on the mac isn’t really very good.

I am using stringjob at the moment, it is OK for recording data but thats about it. It hasn’t been updated in ages and is very slow to use and many errors pop up here and there. The only way you can print the data stored is via a special label printer which is no use. It does contain a racket database as well but this cannot be printed either.

I will let you know if I come across a new program or solution
